What to Expect During a Ranch Mapping Service

1. Pre-Mapping Planning

2. Daytime Mapping Flight Operations

3. Aerial Image Capture


During the flight, the drone captures a series of straight-down (nadir) photographs with sufficient overlap to allow accurate image stitching and map creation. These images form the foundation of the final map products.

4. Post-Flight Data Processing


After the flight, collected imagery is processed using professional mapping software to create a single, seamless aerial map of the property known as a 2D orthomosaic.

5. Property Layout Map Creation


From the completed orthomosaic, a client-friendly property layout map may be created. This annotated map highlights key features such as access roads, water sources, structures, pastures, and other areas of interest to support planning and land management.

6. Data Review & Delivery


Once processing is complete, final mapping products are reviewed for clarity and completeness. Clients receive their mapping deliverables through secure digital delivery, allowing easy viewing, downloading, and long-term reference.
